ACNE IS COMING/IN THE US!!!!! Acne studio opens in NYC soonish and i am crying and vomiting from despair that i cannot get there and that i am so fucking excited to have what is easily my favorite brand closer to me! The studio will sell mens and womens clothes and accessories and soon! furniture and small industrial goods,a childrens line, and men's and women's underwear. now i can really spiral into crippling debt. whatever ill eat beanie weenies and drink schlitz if that allows me to have everything they offer ever.

short pointed posts today. little exclamation points if you will. illustrator elizabeth moch rocks my world with her soft doodly pencil portraits. this particular illustrator is from interview magazine; another favorite item of mine.

chris benz ss08 is so slinky and effortless. i said it before and ill say it again. now that the sun is finally shining and the air is still cool in the mornings i only want to be easy breezy.
the MOCA is ran an exhibit that traced the symmetry between fashion designers and architects. aligning one next to the other and displaying attention to form, space, detail, and function. noting how both disciplines start with the human body and growing to items, spaces, or products that adorn or protect the user. thinking about and exploring these similarities help both areas reach an elevated level of design and i am all for marrying between these families. art/design-incest is where its at.

watercolor is righteous. watercolor florals cut with saturated brights. watercolor illustrations. garments that drape and flow like a watercolor portrait. languid warm weather and longer days lend themselves to this life-vision-style (watercolor by stina persson)

fashion is nonsensical. its true. one minute 'skinny' jeans are out then back in then the 80s come back but leaves again but then neon is in only on thursdays but then its all about nu-grave. the most exciting or fresh thing to hit the scene that is my brain: jellyfish outfit inspiration. sheer volume, lettuce edges, and floaty layers. appropriate for spring, summer, fall, and winter (with a few substantial add ons) (photos from vicefashion and 10 magazine)ive been feeling bored. this warms my bitter heart.
add-on: vice has been doing a fucking awesome job in their fashion section as well as their current fashion issue. it has something for the fashion new-born or the fashion spectre of death. and the photos can range from startlingly crisp to visions from dreams. thank you thank you.
