Lyell, one of the first boutiques to go the route of having a store front, then a store brand, then a runway show for the store brand, has a creepy-dreamy spring look-book up on their website presently (as well as their fall 08 premiere runway show). The Spring line is a little 40s vintage and a little 'Wonder Years' and a lot wearable either as a collection (as this pretty thing photographed by fashionista shows) or piece by piece. Fall collection has a similar theme, but in more seasonally appropriate fabrics and palette; as though the spring dream girl has grown up into an authoritative lady. Lyell is located in NYC on Elizabeth street and refinery29 sometimes carries a selection of their collection online.
In case you are still unaware of my blinding love for all things that come out of the nordic hinterland please have a listen about danish designer, Rikke Hubert, and come to my senses. Hubert's designs show the traditional attention to drape and form that you often see from Scandi designers. While the garments do not, at first look, appear complex, your eye will adjust and see the wrapped seaming, textural edge finishes, and the depth of draping that each of Hubert's designs posses. Refinery29 first interviewed this young designer and finds that Hubert's current collection is inspired by candy while her fall 08 collection was driven by Depeche Mode. Each of her inspirations are straight-forward, but in final garment come across in a semi-sinister, languid way. The designs call to mind a manic-depressive Acne or Stine Goya (another of Hubert's inspirations); where those brands concentrate on the aesthetic possibilities of function mixed lightly with personal theme, Hubert concentrates on representing her theme to the fullest while still considering the drape and elliptical shapes that are true to her design heritage.

Refinery29 is always a great source for new designers and new news. More accessible info than WWD, but less trashy than ONTD; not to say I don't read both of those as though they were the evening news. R29 is currently showing a beautifully written article on Tillmann Lauterbach's beautifully edited and designed collection(see above image for sample).

Soft drape has been noted quite heavily in the couture and fall/winter 07 shows as well as in recent editorials.
