disposable fashion squared

NYmag kindly pointed towards an ebay listing of an authentic Marc Jacobs condom. The condom, if won from the auction, comes with a signed note from MJ encouraging safe sexxx.

This comes to the forefront right after flesh-ionistas trying to revive the mid-nineties 'band-aids as accessories trend'

While I may pout and/or sigh over not being able to acquire MJ or Alexander Herchovich stylez, I am more apt to buy-down into accessories instead of health aids. But I mean, i've yet to read the 12-step program for fashion junkies meetings. They clash with my napping and tee-vee watchin'. It also begs the question: are these legit brand extensions or smirking jabs at the consumer willing to pony up for these disposable items?

let's get 'em!

shoes. omg. shoes. i, like 99.9% of all women, am inexplicably drawn to shoe departments even in stores that i loathe. shit, i would look for shoes in home-depot if they had them. i 'just want to look real quick' and i'm sure my boyfriend gets tired of trying to follow me while i weave in and out of other-less-vicious-shoe-shoppin-women looking for perfect shoes that never seem to exist. i've snatched shoes right out from some other, less decisive, woman's nose and then watched her pout to her mother while the clerk rang up my purchase. however, for all my shoe affairs, i only wear three pairs, sven swedish single wood block sole 3" maryjanes, acne for tretorn high-tops, and frye veronica short slouch boots. all comfortable; all distinctly me, but nothing slinky and subtly vampy. there-fore i am reinstating the hunt for these nico pumps from brian atwood.

milk doll

Drinking milk puts me on edge. I just don't like it. However, I have always loved milky-toned colors. Eggshell, alabaster, cream, crème, dust, cloud, milk. I have as much milk colored or milk washed clothing as I do the deepest black. It's chic, season-less, and hard to wear; which is a testament to the wearer's own versatility. I'll admit it, I own white jeans, not ski-white, but summer-time-cloud-white with underflecks of the lightest blue suggesting that I wore them from their original indigo shade into their current spectral hue (I did not). Though, all an white outfit is not something to be tried off the runway or outside of Miami/Jersey since the white quickly loses its innocent cast and turns lurid if not lewd. Also, an all white outfit is a bitch to keep clean. Temper the lights with heavier pieces and layers to minimize stains and generally just look awesome.

get ye to barney's co-op!

Sorry for the lapse in posts; I've been travelling. However, while on my adventures I confirmed that Barney's Co-Op end-of-season sale is ridiculous awesome. The online prices are good, don't get me wrong, but the stores have such a better selection and are offering an extra 30% off right now. I was seriously tempted by these cloud wash Earnest sewn jeans (mine were in lavender), but no matter how cheap they were would not make them fit into my already overloaded dresser. Stock up on MJ shoes for 70$! 70$! Along with KA7 sweaters for under 60$ and ACNE jeans for 65$(!) which will transition seamlessly into fall.
